this is bugging me,i just treated my self to a samsung 42" plasma hd tv which in the shop had a crystal clear picture ive got it home and it seems a bit "grainy" and dark. the colour and darkness settings are all in the standard settings and it just seems a bit poor especialy on certain tv channels and when i use my xbox 360. is there any thing which is likley to be at fault? the arial on the roof id realy old but it always gave a nice clear picture with my old box shape tv. and advice welcome

Maybe a silly question but does the TV have analogue and digital tuners? and if so are you on the analogue instead of the Digital, that will give you a poor picture. Check signal strength indicated on the tuning section, should be 8 - 10 for a decent picture, if its low then your aerial may need upgrading. Out of the box settings aren't always the best either.
