Just back from a week in the peak district in a cage, not on the bike. We drove upto the cat and fiddle in torrential rain but the food was excellent. Any of you done the run recently, loads of cameras now which would seem to spoil it, although i think there is a way around them. Antway folks, if you want a weekend away or even just arun out, i can recommend the peaks. ;D

I went up the other Sunday, climbed up from the Macc end, rode like hell and stopped at the Cat for a brew. Job done

Just to put the matter straight. the cat run is safe..cameras not working....I know this because I go up in the summer and have mates doing 130 to 140 on gsxr1000 AND R1'S WITH NO TICKET!!! there was a cheeky monkey who wheelied past the camera at 90mph...I do not condone this wreckles behaviour........

Always loved the C&F and used to ride/drive it when I could as I worked round that way, what i loved was the great visibility when heading down from Buxton to Macc, you could overtake on blind bends as you had been watching the oncoming traffic for ages whilst getting to the corner and knew it was safe. Superb curves and so long as you didnt cook your tyres you were fine. Only hassle i ever had was I met a bloke to sell him some brake disks at the pub and my car alarm wouldnt reset as the huge pylons nearby put out such EMF that my alarm wouldnt read my plipper, in the end I had to resort to using some dipswitch settings from the alarm company to bypass the plipper, mental.

yeah but it was safe, you could see for miles until the last minute when you were unsighted, but you knew nothing was coming as you could see there was no traffic, no one stopped, no sheep, nothing etc. wouldnt have done it otherwise
