Greetings everyone, My ypvs special is gonna be using a 17inch RGV front wheel to drive an early lc speedo. can anyone tell me how accurate its gonna be? eg. if its reading say 60mph what is the real speed likely to be? any info much appreciated......

i would of thought it'll read that your doing quite a bit slower than you are, could be tricky for spped camera's , once its all together though couldnt you get some new dial faces made up

guess I'll have to try to calibrate it against the digital speedo on my other lc when its up and running. I was gonna go for some white faces on the old lc clocks but not sure how easy to pull them apart. Any clues?

guess I'll have to try to calibrate it against the digital speedo on my other lc when its up and running. I was gonna go for some white faces on the old lc clocks but not sure how easy to pull them apart. Any clues? You will need a Dremel....or similar to cut the metal collars off the clocks when removed from speedo pod , take care when removing the needles , they break really easy , best using hook-nosed-pliers -...covering the needle fulcrums witha cloth and then pull them up and off the clock fascias , after new faces have been stuck on , line-up the needles accurately and push them firmly back on . because you had to cut off the metal collars , you will need to glue the rubbers back on the the clock "buckets"....if you use Cyanoacrylate based glue (Super-Glue) , leave the glass off for a full day at least.....or it will fog-up and scar the glass. Hope this helps You just guessin baggypoos? - or have you done it before? ;D

Does the banana arm fit - chain line up - without frame mods then - i thought there was welding needed

Does the banana arm fit - chain line up - without frame mods then - i thought there was welding needed No C no welding needed at all, frame standard and swing arm standard, just a little fitting kit needs to be made, the chain though doesnt line up and from what i can tell its about 7mm off. You need a front sprocket making with a 7mm (but measure to get exact!) offset so it steps out the right amount to line up with the rear! To be honest with the fitting kit it took me 15mins to get the back end fully on the frame

I ended up using a digital speedo and tacho from SPA design on my first ypvs hybrid. The one I'm building now is gonna be using early lc clocks cos they look the biz. the SPA stuff is quality but well too expensive!
