I already have a 4L1 with matching numbers thats stripped and gonna rebuilt all shiny and standard whan time permits.
I just took a 4L0 with matching numbers as a p/x on an SV650 i had for sale.
It's all there, starts first bat of the kicker, runs and rides perfect, no oil leaks, everything electrical works, nothing rusty or broke off and is basically ready to go for an mot and is an ideal base for a restore.
As a kind of newbie i though id ask what to do.
By the sounds of things 4L0's are more sought after than 4L1's.
But as long as i have a finished LC in std trim in the near future is all that matters.
So guys n gals what would you do givin the choice.
Flog the 4L1 in it's all there but unfinish state and restore the more sought after 4L0
Or
Flog the 4L0 in it's unrestored but running state and use the extra wonga it would generate to put into finishing the 4L1.
In an ideal world where money and workshop space was a plenty i'd be keeping both but one of them will have to go.
What can i realistic ally expect to fetch either in their current condition.
Sorry for going on a bit and thanks for any advice on this in advance.
