what is the best way and paint for painting side casing on rd125lc so it doesnt get knocked off easy

All paint will chip mate . Powder coat ios goss its thicker and looks good but if it does chip you cant just respray . Frankley i just spray can everything its simple and fast . just worm it up befor spraying . I put stuff in the ioven to get it worm and worm up the spray in a hot water as well .

as above realy mate,a few good tips are make sure you de-grease it fully first and make sure the whole item being painted is properly rubbed town ie p800 grit wet and dry,any areas of metal or filler will need primer which will also need a quick rub down before paint. its the lack of rubbing down that causes paint to flake off

ok so etching primer to make sure it adheres properly and then just respay as normal didnt know if there was any special one coat engine paint that was any good im almost thinking of stripping it back to metal and polishing up the casing to a mirror finish got a dremel so will cut back on elbow grease

Polishing is a lovely finish, but extremely high maintenance to keep looking nice. I have a R1 with polished frame and wheels, and if it gets a glimpse of water it needs polishing again!

laquering dulls the finish somewhat

laquering over polished metal not good will look ok for a bit then it will flake off
