if your going to paint the casing id give the welds a skim of chemical metal or maybe just sand them flat depending how much metal you have got to play with?

When do you get your pot back grunt? hope you put some pics of it up. Jetting might be a tricky one, bean can may not perform at its best when you are running a 180cc cylinder and powerjet carb. Have you considerd have one made?

right ok then thats going in i dont wanna feel like im riding a vibrator every time i go out round town ;D ;D now to sort out what ajustment to the oil pump wether just to turn minumim stroke up so its higher all round or to ajust the shims so i pumps more oil through
Post by billy on Aug 9, 2010 15:47:16 GMT 1
usually removing shims allows the minimum stroke to go higher thats one option as a starter. if not fit a 350 lc one and blank an oil line off.reason i say that as the 350lc pump delivers the correct amount for 1 side per line and is basically 175cc a side But if you block one output hole, won't it spit out the same ammount of oil through the remaining hose? Think of it as a fountain, sometimes there's water coming out of several holes, but if you block holes, the water pressure will raise on the other holes which are not blocked. Just a thought, I have no idea how a 350 oil pump works lol.. Edit: A solution would be to direct one of the output hoses back to the oil tank.

right i have spoken to ron and faron and he has told me he has done several 175 rds and said i can use my oil pump and to be 100% if im still not happy with it to put 2 fluid oz's bout 60millilitres of oil in the tank as gaz stated as for the jetting he said to go for a 240 and work my way down with the jets till its ok,, making sure it runs rich so it doesnt seize now moving on with an update of the engine parts here is the carb after vapour blasting
