Hi, does anyone have a undamaged lower crankcase for a 4LO 350 lc (tie bar type) for sale as i have managed to strip 2 threads out that hold clutch cover on. I think this happened when i removed them rather than tightened them up as bike has been sitting for over 20 years. Cheers Dave.

MATE TAKE THEM TO AN ENGINEERS AND GET THE HELICOILED AS THE CRANK CASES ARE MATCHED TOP AND BOTTOM AND FOR THE PRICE OF A DRINK YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET THEM DONE GOOD AS NEW

Don't need a new case just get a helicoil kit and redo the threads, very easy to do and i did the same on my case, took 20 mins and worked a treat. Got mine from here: www.mptools.co.uk/products.asp?partno=488570Couple of pics. Cost around £20 and enough coils to do some more threads next time i strip my engine

remove all the bits of plug and then using a junior hacksaw blade you can cut through the threads and then use a small chisil to fold the threads in and remove.
