I bought some fuel filters from ebay and fitted them 2 weeks ago and tonight when i turned on the fuel tap and started my bike they fell apart and fuel was pouring all over my bike and drive. Has anyone else had this problem? and if you have this type of filter then please check them as i would hate to think what would have happened if i had beening riding when they failed. It must be that they are not capable of resisting fuel as they came apart at the joints and have gone brittle. I have reported this to the supplier and will see what they have to say before naming them.

have one of those on my lc for 3 years no problem...il be more concerned with the clear hoses as well tbh.... but if they are crap please name them to save anyone having other similar issues... I have had an email back saying they have withdrawn them from sale along with an apology and a full refund, so good service to reply so quickly and take them off sale, i got them from the motorcycle company on ebay. The clear hoses are alos from them and are supposed to be for fuel but they went stiff and so i have removed them as well. Can anyone reccomend a good fuel filter? Thanks Nick

I've now got some aluminium ones and they are fine, problem with the plastic ones is how do you know if they are good or just cheap copies, they came from a bike shop on ebay and looked fine.
