3/4's of the way through my engine rebuild. I came to put the front sprocket on, put the collar that was on the bike on the end of the output shaft , then put the sprocket on. big problem..... the shaft does not come throgh the sprocket far enough. I cant even get the nut on , the castlations dont come through the sprocket. I looked in the manual and see a picture showing that the castlated part starts about half an inch away from the bearing housing, mine looks the same. Is this the wrong spacer? Its 20mm deep. or have i done something wrong???/

the castelations or splines are about 10mm under the sprocket surface. You cant put the tab washer on and tightened up the shaft is still no fully through the nut . Whats going on? The spacer is measured at 20mm. Should I take the clutch out and check the other end of the shaft is right? Attachments:

I think you have a YPVS spacer. You should have an LC spacer, and those should be 14mm wide if I remember it correct.
Edit: Colour of your spacer are definitly wrong. LC spacers are more black rather then yellow.

top man. I just took it to pieces and never really looked, just prsumed it was right. As its a ypvs top on a 4l0 bottom , he probably had some bits of the power valve and just used them
Thanks again, makes sense now. Will ring norbo
