hi everybody last month i bought a KX250 , but not used it yet, so last sunday i entered it into a local hare and hounds enduro at rochdale. the 1st time i rode it was i got it out of the van and rode it to scrutineering . i didnt know they dont have practice laps at enduro. next thing the flag dropped and i was racing it ! as many laps as you can do in 2 hours, it was very very hot i did 2 laps ( 5 mile laps) and then stopped for a 30 min rest i then did 1 more lap and was exhausted.but i did finish. i have learned a few things
1- you should practice on a bike before you race it. 2- i should have walked the course before i paid my entry fee. 3- enduro,s are very tiring especially after picking your bike of the floor 10 times per lap 4- KX 250,s are a bad choice for a novice. mentally fast on dirt 5- 49 year old is too old for this sort of thing.
but i always fancied a go, so i have done it now. i could hardly get out of bed on monday, i limped and hobbled every where, i couldnt lift my arms above shoulder height. i think we should all try to fullfill our dreams if we can. thats another box ticked for me. ;D there was a photographer there, if he got any pics of me i will post them up.
