i fitted a 350ypvs motor i got second hand cheap and complete with carbs and servo in a bike i have a few months ago but couldnt finish it till now, and when doing the setting up i looked up the exhaust ports and to my amazment the power valves were 180 degrees out !!!!!!! . and it must have been running like this because the carbon build up wouldnt let them spin back to normal postion so had to clean them up first... must have ran shite, the engine had been fitted in a aprillia rs125. what a knob....... now its fixed and runs great i bet he thought it was knackerd. ;D

Just taken the barrels of mine , not sure now but I think mine may have been the same. Its off for a re-bore. If it was fitted 180 out , I presume the symptoms would be loss of top end power?

yeh vensac i recon it has no chance of making any top end power like that and probably run bad full stop.

Had my powervalves apart last week, got me worried now. If I look into the exhaust what position should the valve be in?

I think I am right in saying that when you have joined the valves together, the heads of the screw on the joint should be facing up. If they are facing down they are on the wrong way round.
