i have standard pipes on my 350 lc and no matter what i do i cant get them to stop blowing round the ports, i have new paper gaskets and the ring gaskets, anyone have any advice? cheers

common problem, need to put a bit of wire coat hanger in the recess on the exhaust flange to take up the slack between it and the pipe. Thick copper wire also does the trick

as above and most people dont clean the flange or port befor fitting you need to wipe both spotles with thinners and aply clear instent gasket befor fitting gaskets and after between the gasket and the pipe . and dont ride untill is is soled best to do this befr you put the bike away for the nite or befor you go to work so it has good time to go of . #
Any oil left and the instent wont stick

Mate............the wire goes between the ridge of the front pipe and the flange that goes over it............if ya get wot i mean

yes m8.so when the flange is pulled up to the front pipethe wire is between flange and front pipe end

a good helping of clear silicon bathroom sealant will do the trick, after giving thorough clean with methylatyed spirit (cold engine only haha), a good spread of silicon should bridge any small leaksites well enough. You can trim any excess off to tidy up after with craft knife.
