my mk3 rd125lc im taking to spain is running hot in uk so a little worried about the hot weather out there.its running on a standard air box,190 standard jet,1 3/4 turns out on the air mixture screw, swarsbrick pipe but runs about 3/4 on the temp gauge. it has a chrome airbox cover i bought of norbo so thinking maybe this may cause a bit of a blockage,it has new air filter put in so not sure why running so hot.any help would be great, cheers

Was that a "Chrome Airbox cover" or Chrome radiator cover ?. Cos if it's a chrome rad cover, not sure what the design is like on yours but I had one on my 350LC and with it on it ran just over half on the temp gauge and with it removed about a quarter

Probably worth noting too that the std grill is designed to draw air in which the aftermarket ones aren't.
I have the std rad grill on mine and all the time the bike is moving the temp guage sits just at the beginning of thicker part of the green line (about 1/4 on the gauge I'd say) and that's however hard you ride it.
Given how highly strung these 125's are, I much prefer mine to run 1/4 less on the temp gauge and not have a flashy rad grill (but I am old ;D ;D ;D)
