I read in another thread that if using PV pistons you need to remove the tang on the rear of the piston. What is the reason as I have never done it in the past but maybe thats why the bloody thing has been like a mobile hand grenade.

I didnt know that, guess whos removing the tang before he puts his YPVS piston top end on his engine he has in bits.

nearly 30 years on and off with LC's and I never knew this . How many pistons i've gone through over the years that I have blamed on jetting, crank seals, etc when it could have been this.

Yea its 350lc barrels with ypvs pistons so the dremels coming out.
