My chain looks like its gonna be on the swingarm even when loaded. what material would you make a slipper out of and the best stuff for bonding it on? cheers Andy

I would say use some delrin (nylon sheet) and I would try and bolt it on sooner than bond it on, because it wouldnt be very good if it came off and went inbetween your chain and sprocket ! I have some delrin in black at work If I remember it is 10 mm thick, you can have a bit if it is any good to you ? Regards John.

Either nylon ,UHMWPE or acetal sheet (Delrin) will do the job. All are difficult to bond so bolting is the only realistic safe option. Instead of having one made you could see if the standard valve one could be fitted somehow.

Ive gone with the delrin route courtesy of drzjohn supplying a piece, gratis. THANKYOU John, top bloke and a pleasure to meet you ;D ;D ;D. Ive pulled the backend out again, measured and cut the delrin, so all I got to do now is sort out a tap and then it can be bolted down Andy

sounds a bit crazy that your chain is continously touching the swinger, cant you go up 2 teeth on the front sprocket and down 1 on the rear to help it?

2 teeth on the front is the same as 6 off the back not 1 But your theory is sound Strat.

I have hacksawed 6 teeth off the back sprocket and welded 2 of them onto the front but it hasn't cured the problem ;D The swing arm is the concentric adjuster type, drzjohn suggested it might be a JMC. I have fitted Norbos race shock which is 15mm longer and adjusted the chain so that the wheel spindle is sitting in the lowest lowest position in the adjuster. The rear end is jacked up as high as it can possibly be. This means that the rear sprocket is sitting as low as it could possibly be, in relation to the front sprocket. I'm thinking if I adjust the chain so the spindle is in the highest position in the adjuster then it should alleviate if not cure the problem. Either way fitting the slipper is still a good idea I think
