I've got a 350 rear wheel which has a piece missing out of the edge of the brake drum, like something hit the wheel and took a piece clean off. The missing bit is not big bout half and inch long and say quater inch at its widest point. Do you think the wheel will still be ok to use?

Does it look like someone has tried to lever the brake plate off with a screwdriver?

mmmmm... could be some hidden damage... weakness in the whole drum... i maybe being paranoid but better that than a collapsed wheel at speed imo i'd get another... peace of mind and all that...

id take it to a local engineer to get checked and repaired,it wont be expensive and it will be peace at mind, depends how much a good second hand wheel costs i suppose

I have seen some eith the entire outer edge broken of all the way around. I did that on a TZR 125 which had been standing and the brake material had come away from the shoe! It was a nightmare to get the drum out
