Hi I have just joined the board after seeing Norbo's post on the RD/ RZ forum. Enclosed are a couple of snaps of my 250LC project that I will hopefully be starting to sorting out in the near future. I know it has some very interesting modifications but it was built in the 80's and hasn't seen the road since, it was last taxed in 1985 when it was 4 years old, anyway I think it has alot of potential - tuned engine (apparently), Terry Beckett spec swarbrick exhausts, JMC swinging arm, White Power shock, Progressive springs in the forks, Micron Fork brace, AP Lockheed calipers, home made? rear sets and the not so nice stuff paintwork, horrible DT50MX fairing thing, YPVS tail light and the interesting side stand bolt that has now been replaced. Bought this to replace the RD250 LC YPVS Hybrid I sold about 15 years ago which I have regretted ever since. I Don't suppose anyone knows what happened to it VWT 961X purple bodywork lime green decals, Kawasaki green frame, 31K purple wheels, 31K engine, Metmachex shallow braced arm, Micron GP pipes. Or my other RD350LC KAJ 22W in Kenny Roberts colours sold to a lad from Huddersfield, I know this is still on the road from the DVLA website.

Yes its too loud, its heading for a full strip down rebuild and powercoat the frame black at the very least, the paintwork might stay for a while until I can talk my mate into painting it. Definately binning the fairing and front mudguard its hideous, going to fit a proper headlight and clocks and take it from there, think i will strip the engine and have a look it ticks over sweet as a nut but you never know, I have a RGV250 front end sat in the garage so that may be getting fitted at some point. Does anyone know if the tank should have a vent fitted with the filler cap I vaguely remember seeing one on a bike in PB years ago and I'm sure it had one fitted?

I have the same fuel cap on a bike of mine and it has an alloy vent to stop a vacume.
when you strip thye bike start a thred in the rebuld section mate . Theres nothing people like more then to see a bike being transformed.
