I used petseal once. Never again. It is basically an epoxy resin that you line the tank with but after I used it in my LC2 tank to seal a pin hole it seemed to make the problem worse and I ended up throwing the tank away and had to get another one from a breakers. If you go to www.tankcareproducts.co.uk they do a one part sealant that you line the tank with that is totally resistant to fuel and will not break up like petseal does and is what they use to line aircraft fuel tanks. I've got it in the tank on my LC2 after a leak appeared by one of the seams and it's still holding after 3 years . When you apply it you have to make sure the inside of the tank is totally degreased before you pour it in and it takes a while to dry but defineately worth trying. Tone.

I have used POR15 several times with no problems mate, bought it from these www.frost.co.ukI have seen petseal de-laminate over time but not sure if this was just lack of proper application or not? but it put me off buying it!

I used Petseal on my first F2 tank and had no problems. Maybe just lucky, or the preperation method i used. Im getting one ready to seal at the moment using the reverse plating technique to get rid of the rust. After what everyone is saying I don't think I will use petseal again.

If your tank hasn't got any holes and is only rusty, the method I just used works a treat.
Left it to "cook" for 8 hours hosed out the inside of the tank and there was not a spot of rust, just bright shiny steel. So I leant it up against a fan heater which dried it out then duct taped up the fuel tap hole, poured in a bottle of Kurust, taped up the filler & shook it up to coat the inside of the tank to prevent the rust coming back. Job done ;D
