Hello Bluesmokers It's been a while. Like 10 years since I last looked here. My project is to put a YPVS engine (including of course the pipes) into a Kawa ZXR-400 frame. I therefore have quite a bit of stuff from the YPVS I wish to sell, to finance the said plan. Any suggestions as to best platform to advertise these parts? And how? Individual photos / ads or do I just say "whole bike in parts minus the engine & pipes for sale"? I realise there's eBay, Marketplace, Gumtree etc etc, but this is kinda specialist! I also realise I'll have to package and send, but I don't know how to quote for that - do I find a buyer then estimate P&P or just advertise for sale + whatever P&P it is? Buyers won't wish to agree to purchase something with an open-ended P&P. Is this Forum a place to sell stuff? I'm sure there are rules about selling? Any advice greatly appreciated. Take it easy out there!

You can post on here in the "For Sale" section.

I've not sold much on here but after a couple of items I got an idea what post was going to be roughly and added it on. One of the rules on selling is you have to state a price. You could put X pound plus postage and estimate or wait to see what it costs then advise the buyer? I've never sent anything really big or heavy so for that kind of item It would be worth finding out a cost before finalising with your buyer.
BTW, Dave Mutts Nuts on here put an LC engine in a ZXR400 chassis. He also fitted a turbo to it!

With your Post count, you can advertise your parts in the For Sale section. For ease - you could advertise as a job lot, buyer collects. If no takers, then advertise parts individually, but as said, it's important you put a price for the parts. You can add a postage price to the potential buyer after a sale is agreed - weigh the item, factor in packaging costs, and try a site like "Parcel2go" to find the best postage price for size/weight and destination. Rebuild/restoration season typically starts now so a good time to advertise Good luck

Thanks to you all for your advice and guidance. I'm gonna use Evri as they give a simplified pricing and there's a local drop off a few hundred metres away. I'll list individually and advertise with this forum and eBay.
If Dave Mutts is reading...what were the main challenges and how did you line up the engine mounts to the frame? Did you run it? Thanks again to you all
