Hi all looking for some advice I have started building a hybrid Rd350 ypvs N1 frame using a rgv250 front vj22 and rear (banana) arm swingarm Rear wheel vj21 is a 18" 1. Rear tyer size recommendation 140? or 160? /60 -18" 2. Looking to install fat straight bars require your advice and recommendation?. Also looking for company I can buy a new top yoke or get a cnc one made the top yoke I have have already been drilled and not even.
You advice will be very appreciated Thanks and best regards Jamie

Hi
If i were you, i'd try and find a VJ22 rear wheel, there will be a better tyre choice as it will be 17" and as standard uses a 150 tyre, will also fit with the swingarm perfectly!
Re: the top yoke, 'Spondon 440' on here makes beautiful ally yokes and also 'NK racing' (not on here) makes yokes.

Hi Welcome to the forum. If you keep the Vj21 rear wheel, it's a 140, and as Mouse said, that will limit tyre choice somewhat due to the 18" rim. A Vj22 wheel will give you more choice and a 150 section, but the wheel can be 200 quid plus to buy, then paint/powder/bearings soon add up, plus they aren't as plentiful as they were. Plus side is the rear sprocket hub will swap over, but the discs are different ! Andy - Spondon440 has retired now I believe but still worth an ask regards his yokes. Another option is Tyga as they do them for the Rgv, but I'm not sure they offer a "normal" bars set up with risers. I had an Nk top yoke on a previous build and it was spot on, so as Mouse said, another option there Or save some money and get the existing top yoke holes welded up and redrilled evenly. Enjoy the forum Dusty

Hi
Even though your top yoke is drilled badly NK will still be able to weld on fat bar risers

Welcome along Jamie.
Can you post up a picture of the top yoke?
Personally I prefer 17" wheels and have a 120/70 front & 160/60 rear on mine which look and ride great.
You'll need an offset front sprocket (NK Racing again) but check with the power valve boys as mine is an LC.
I'll post up a pic of some risers I made in a modified top yoke, just to give you an idea really..

You should offer those for sale.

I have the complete yoke set up that is now powder coated - will post a pic.
I'm rubbish at selling stuff as I can't be faffed with it. I see things for sale I've given away or thrown out half the time!
Besides if I do get that F2 my 'Posh Yokes' could go on that and then these can go on my LC.
Are the YPVS forks the same dimension wise?

YPVS stem is identical 👍
Steve
(Except the R frame but even that from memory takes standard rgv taper bearings)
