Hi men. While fettling with my F2 this week i noticed the rear exhaust hanger bushes in the footrest hanger are a bit "sloppy" for want of a better word. As im goin to be removing the exhausts soon to give them a damn good sealing up i wondered if anyone has any hints/tips for removal and refitting Im thinking use my dremmel to take out a bit of the metal of the old bush then peel it away with screwdriver or summin Then try and press in using a vice without snapping the hanger

I cut the rubber bit out then use a junior hacksaw to cut through the metal ring, a dremel is a bit too quick - easy to go into the hanger. Chuck the new bushes in the freezer for a day or more before you need them, then as mentioned; use a socket and a vice to press them into position after greasing the bush edge / rim first.

I have a small piece of info now.............whilst scouring the net...........apparently plumbing shops sell cans of liquid nitrogen which are handy for freezing things like bearings etc before fitting

Had a Liquid Nitrogen cannister in a metalurgy / lab class once. It's a really big vacuum bottle affair 100cm x 70 cm..likely worth as much as an automobile. It takes a serious container or pressure vessel to hold Nitrogen in a liquid state.. and Briefly at that. Also this is a very hazardous material, possibly one would need Papal dispensation to just buy some, outside of laboratory uses. Seems a bit of overkill to patch a toilet ?
