Thought this may be of interest to some ?. Anyway, my Micron's detacheable can was far too long and it also sounded a bit pants, even with the stinger removed I bought a Sterling alloy end can from evil-bay to fit on and had intended to just slap a Micron sticker over what was already on it but it was deeply engraved, so that was not an option. It was no problem to turn it round on it's 3 bolt holes to put the engraving out of sight but that then left the rear spout at a ridiculous angle . So I drilled out the existing rivets repositioned it at the angle I wanted the spout, re-drilled the holes on the inner spout section and re-riveted. It sounds bloomin wicked ;D, just what I remember the original small can Microns sounding like (it's been a while since I heard one on an RD125LC). I think I prefer it without the Micron decal so may end up taking it back off Below are some pics I took before, during and after.

is the bike more "peaky" now, from my little experiance with 2 stroke expansion chambers i found that slightly longer end cans gave a larger spread of power ?,also i remember i fitted a aprilia rs125 standard can to a 125lc micron and it sounded a tad better than the stock micron can but no change to power, they are a direct fit too

Haven't ridden it yet cos it was wet all afternoon but I'll report back when I have. Before fitting this end can it did rev upto 10,500 - 11,000 rpm quite happily but didn't feel as strong in the power band as when I had my Allspeed fitted. I'm beggining to wonder if the best performance is to be had by running the Allspeed but gearing the bike longer so it will just pull the 9,000 rpm in top ?. At the moment it will go through the gears as quick as you like (even up an incline), then when it gets to 90-95 just stops at the 9,000rpm. It's either that or the lesser power with the Micron but higher revs with gearing to match that (which is probably std gearing) ?.

as a rule of thumb allspeeds gave good mid range with standard porting, microns move power up the rev range,my old 125lc had a hand made pipe wich made it perform way better than any off the shelf pipe as it was re-linered and ported but its all down to personal preference i suppose, personly i think ya micron looks pukka so id leave it on regardless of if it is slightly peakier.lovley looking 125lc

Well took it out this morning for a quick spin. I can report that with this shorter can it has changed to a cross between the Allspeed and the Micron as it was with the larger can but without the stinger. With the stinger you may as well get off and walk Basically it has lost about 500rpm and tops out around the 10,000 - 10,500 rpm mark but it feels much much stronger in the power band . I like it as it is, a very good compromise in revs and power and bloomin LOUD !!!! ;D ;D ;D As I've currently got an 11Y-00 carb fitted (same body as the 10W) it's probably a bit restricted in there at the moment but after a chat with Mr Gaz I now have a 10W needle jet and needle assy coming Thursday which should put my carb exactly as a 10W is. No chance of a video yet, the minute I got back the heavens opened
