The Motor is a 1UA and the markings on the Flywheel are as follows / if it makes any difference ?? Not what you want to hear best buy a zeel it will combine the cdi and pv controller so no need to match a cdi to a flywheel and all you need to do is make up a sub loom (5 wire I think ) which is an extension from the pv actuator to the zeel. Otherwise you need the correct cdi/ flywheel/ alternator/ pv controller then mount them on a lc and still make a sub loom

Whatever way you go you are going to need to wire stuff as even with the standard ypvs parts you are still going to have to wire it in to the lc loom
Mutts will pre program an ignitec or zeel for you
Can't remember the flywheel code but if yours is f2 you need a 1ua-50 cdi
Any pv controller will work

The combined Zeel is 1 box so much easier to find a home for. If you are keeping the airbox there aren't many places on a Lc you can easily find a home for a PV CDI and a PV control box. Yes it can be done but it's never ideal imo, and 1 box will make that issue a lot easier, plus it's new, modern tech.

ok
i think i will contact Dave and get an opinion on the Zeel which a lot seem to be running and already using without much bother going by the posts on here ....
i can see that the 2 units i need now will not work because of the space needed to mount them , clearly something has to go to accommodate ....
ummm just hope its not a lot of set-up and wiring as i dont know anyone close to me that has any experience with working / setting up these and not familiar with them myself
thanks for the imput everyone it is appreciated

I like Zeels, fairly easy to wire in and modern tech.

I prefer the Ignitech with usb ready to plug straight in, but either one of those or the zeel are fine.
Maps never seem to get forgotten over time with the Igni.

o.k so just another question on the option of the Zeel , which clearly seems to be the way to go.... there seems to be a couple of options for the Zeel so can anyone please advise which is the most common one to use , bare in mind i am not going to use the unit for race purposes of gaining any excess top end etc , i just want it to be the substitute for the electronics i am missing And can anyone advise on the wiring i need to carry out to wire the unit into the NEW loom of a RD350LC ?? i am sure its been done by a member on here so any advise appreciated thanks everyone ZiG

Making up an additional loom for it is probably the best way to go? Colin (reedx on here) 3D prints a very neat mounting box for it: rdlccrazy.proboards.com/thread/62080/zeeltronic-mounting-boxFor the unit itself, Norbo or Mutts usually have them in stock. I often fit a new Electrexworld stator, a new ignition coil and a new reg/rec at the same time, that way you know all the system is good.

that is great information .... thank you never worked around one of these units before and so a bit out of my debth but after looking at the link for the wiring of it , looks fairly straightforward as for the stator i have replaced this with one from Norbo along with the Banshee coils and new Reg/Rectifer thank you again ZiG
