Morning all.
I used the 350LC for work this morning and just as I was arriving I started to get an intermittent oil warning light. Having parked up I checked and still have @ 1/3 of a tank of 2 stroke so was just wondering at what level the oil warning light comes on?
As I still have 2 1/3 of a tank of 2 stroke I am also reading the oil light as reminder to fill it up when I get home (@ a 30-minute ride) as opposed to needing to "rush out and find the nearest garage for some more 2 stroke". Am I correct?
Cheers
Ian

All is working well. The oil light gives you plenty of warning, and also has a small period of intermittency.

It's 1980's technology and a simple "make or break" switch. As the oil nears the "make" level, that remaining in the tank sloshes about as you ride causing the float in the switch to rise and fall slightly and thus making and breaking the circuit. When you've used a little more oil, the light will remain on until you top up the oil tank.
Once you get to the flickering light stage, you should be fine to top up the oil tank up when you get home as long as you're no more than about 50 miles away.

Mines the same comes on really early! I can't relax I keep stopping pulling the side panel off to check and I've still got half a tank .. it starts to flicker on when you brake.
