Good grief. And that Kwaker looks almost standard.

Actually, quite a bit, standard front end, just lowered and headlight brackets turned upside down, Std clocks, tank, side panels and tailpiece. Looks like just the engine, swing arm, some frame and rear wheel that are modded.

KH sounds wicked. I have always thought those triples sound much better when fitted with spannies. Goes well too.

The Busa rider looked like he was half asleep at the start.

The Busa rider looked like he was half asleep at the start. Watching the Christmas tree Busa light went green slightly later I think that is planned so they should arrive at the end around the same time?

I spotted the delayed lights on the Busa lane too and was intrigued..... Seems it's a thing called "Bracket Racing", never heard of it before: www.dodgegarage.com/racing-hq/understanding-nhra-classes/bracket-racing

It was about a second later. I seem to remember that you position yourself back and forth until two sets of light come on and then the green comes on. It was probably just the Busa rider taking longer to get in position. It would make more sense them setting off together. there will be few or no spectators down at the other end.

Seems it's a thing called "Bracket Racing", never heard of it before: www.dodgegarage.com/racing-hq/understanding-nhra-classes/bracket-racingThanks for the link. It makes sense now. When we were involved in competitive swimming there were galas called "B grade" where swimmers entered putting down their expected time for each event which had to be over an alloted time. If they went faster than their time they were not included in the results and were given a "speeding" ticket. It was to give slightly slower swimmers a chance to compete against equal level competitors.

Seems an odd way of doing things. I thought drag bikes competed in classes, not just a random race.
