Hi All Maybe something I’m missing or just a daft question but ….. The handlebars are aftermarket that came with the bike but for an LC2 allegedly. They have some hard plastic in the ends of them. They are 670mm from end of one handlebar to the other, which I believe is the correct length. With switchgear positioned equally, there is 105mm on the left bar for the grip but the throttle tube is 130mm long. What’s wrong ?

Don't think I've measured the distance from switch gear to the bar ends, but can you just assemble it all & adjust gaps to suit?
Pictures may help..

Not without the switchgear looking very uneven and even then I don’t think there’s enough room. I could cut the excess off the throttle tube as it well overhangs the end of the bar but I don’t want to do that without asking first in case I was just missing something stupid. Should it have the bar ends on ? And do they sit flush with the bar end ?

Probably needs a picture comparison between an existing set up and yours..

Lots of aftermarket bars have different dimensions
If you buy renthal dirt bike bars they are way wider than standard but tight for switchgear and lc2 grips
All to do with the bends and lengths between
Renthal 758 are good for Lc2
LC bars are too short for lc2

Then the grips won't fit
It's not the overall length that the problem, just the end sections aren't suitable for LC2

Then the grips won't fit It's not the overall length that the problem, just the end sections aren't suitable for LC2 Steve But with switchgear looking equally spaced and symmetrical, there is 25mm difference between the left hand grip space and the throttle tube which is 25mm longer than the right hand handlebar so the handlebar end is 25mm inside the throttle tube. The grips I have fit the left perfectly and are too short for the throttle tube 🤔 it would basically be sticking 25mm out of the end of the grip

As lcmarky says, a picture would certainly help. When you say 'equally spaced' what does that mean? Everything should be butted up against each other, no space between. I do try to put a little space between the throttle and brake master to increase the available leverage, but there isnt much to play with on most bars.
Both grips and the throttle tube on my LC2 are 130mm. The total length of handlebar required on each end to fit the grips, switchgear and levers is 215mm. For standard Yamaha parts. Pit bike grips are often shorter than proper motorbike grips. It sounds like that is what you have.

I meant equally space on the bars so they were equilateral in their positioning. Yeah I had closed end grips but they are on for now. I will maybe change later

Not spaced between switchgear and lever holders 😁 I must have the shorter bars as the 130mm throttle tube is 25mm over the end of the bars and the grips I had were only 105 mm long. They are on for now with a trimmed throttle tube but I may change later

I had the same issue Jona. Supposedly replacement 31k bars and throttle grip. The throttle plastic was way too long so had to trim to fit.
Tbh I've had a number of issues with Yambits selling parts that are supposedly for the 31k but they end up being for later models. I've had to send a number of things back to them. As an example today I had to return fork leg bolts as they are the wrong size (5mm not 6mm Allen ) and actually different to the fork leg tool they sell to remove the original bolts 🙃

I have also had a couple of bits from Yambits that haven’t been right. Not too bad though out of the seemingly hundreds I have bought 😁

When i built my lc2 i ended up forking out for genuine bars after spending ages trying to get stuff to fit on pattern bars
