I’ve got a 500 which I’ve modded with R6 front and rear end and now have few spare parts associated , is it better to hold on to them which was my original plan , and one day sell with bike or let them go and recover some money and space? Standard forks, swingarm, front rear wheels, discs, front brake, bars, spare oil tank , side panels red / black scheme, exhaust surround plastic, 4 standard exhausts, battery cover plastic. I personally wouldn’t return it to standard as it’s my preference. flic.kr/p/2pJa3dSflic.kr/p/2pJeygtflic.kr/p/2pJeyfX

If it’s not something you want to do, then I would still keep them as the new owner may wish to do it and has all the parts to do so. Having said that, if the original parts bring good money and make up the difference between what the bike is worth as it is and what it’s worth as standard, then maybe selling would be fine 🤷♂️ Ultimately trends change but originality for me, lasts, so I would keep them 😁

I've had x2 RD500s (one was black n red) and they're not the greatest bike to ride, so the mods for me should stay.

Love the Mamola lid, one of my first paint jobs I did on my old Bell Star helmet back in 80's. Still got it on a shelf in the garage........well passed it's best.😁 Here's an old pic of me wearing it back in the day, not the best old picture but you can just about see it.👍

I kept boxes and boxes of parts to return 2 of mine to standard ended up practically giving away the parts. Exhausts are worth nothing, wheels etc. not much. I sold the two bikes for top price with the r6 suspensions. Didn’t affect value. Current build has aprillia front rear end on it

Id get rid of the parts if youre not going to use them as others want/need them for their builds etc. People wont be building these bikes forever so storing them probably isnt the way forwards.
Also... IMHO, your bike is beautiful! I cant see someone thinking 'it would be better standard' etc.
If you do decide to ditch these parts please do contact me as I am in need of one straight handlebar and a friend of mine needs a battery cover plastic.
