Great article.
Kevin Maudsley was the first on a 350 Production bike to top 100mph in 1985. I remember it being a full front page story in MCN. He was on an LC2. It was a great big deal to all of us YPVS racers at the time. Most of the 'proper' race bike racers still looked down their noses at us and there was a proddy bike doing something most of them hadn't achieved.

Best regards Johnny C Was the F1 was out by then? I'd imagine a fairing would have helped around the island. I've watched the 1985 Marlboro final from Silverstone quite a few times and his bike looked a bit tired in that race. It looked slower and less stable than Terry Rymers F1 but he gave him a good run for his money. Brilliant race for any proddy racing fan. Could have and should have been in it. I could have been on TV being lapped 😁
