Is it just me or does anyone else look at the advert on TV and think I could use one of those for the bike ? Cheaper than Data tag one off subscription Mobile App within meters positioning GPRS etc ? Interesting to know if any dog and bike owners have had the same idea ? Most of all are they any good ??

Long as it doesn’t use the 3G network (which it doesn’t appear to) then it should be worth looking into.
My concern would be the viability of the company - they’ve no subscription to rely once so all their revenue has to come from sales alone.

I think it works on bluetooth, so limited range. Ok if you loose your bike in ASDA

I was wondering the same about those apple AirTag devices?, they also use Bluetooth , the blurb says :
“Just like your other Apple devices, AirTag can be put into Lost Mode. Then when it’s detected by a device in the network, you’ll automatically get a notification. You can also set it so someone can get your contact info by tapping your AirTag with an NFC-capable smartphone — that’s the same technology that lets people pay for things with their phone, Only you can see where your AirTag is. Your location data and history are never stored on the AirTag itself. Devices that relay the location of your AirTag also stay anonymous, and that location data is encrypted every step of the way. So not even Apple knows the location of your AirTag or the identity of the device that helps find it”.
So presumably in ‘lost mode’ the device would effectively use the nearest apple iPhone/iPod as a relay station to inform you where it is, all anonymously it would seem?.

Ok if you loose your bike in ASDA Apparently it is mobile LTE-M and NB-IoT, I know the IoT is internet of things which is everything that can transmit and use data... kinda. But from what ive read it's using 4-5g and low transmission data so not as costly. I just hope if get one my bike doesn't start pissing up trees or lampposts 🤣
