Folks with Hybrids..
What tyre pressures are you running?
My tyres are Conti Race Attack Soft Front & Medium Rear. Sizes are 120/17 17" Front & 160/60 17" Rear.
I'm thinking 24 PSI Front & 26 PSI Rear.
Who's experience with trying different pressures?
Cheers
LCMarky
Hi LCMarky
Sorry I havent used the "Race Attack"
However I have used the "Conti Classic Attack" on my LC250
the side wall is very stiff, not much flex but they are a great tyre, loads of grip.
I got them so I could go testing them to the best pressure for feeling especially in the front I ended up with Front 24 Rear 27
As for compound not too sure as I think the road tyre has only one compound (but could be wrong) as had to get the same tyres as we were using in the Pro-Am races
We used these tyres in all the races, 2015 we couldnt adjust the pressures hence why half the field crashed in the very wet conditions
I found out later that presures were Front 36 Rear 38 ( know wonder most of us crashed)!
Cadwell 2017 we were allowed to adjust presures + or - 4 PSI
However as there were a few mechanics missing, so I just used my own pressures 24 & 27
You know it makes sence !
I wasn’t the only one who changed the tyre pressures that weekend
Sorry I dont know the different between Classic Attack and Race Attack (ask Conti think the guy was called Grahan Marchant
But I think its worth your while testing just to get a good feeling and as mentioned above look at tyre wear
Hope that helps
Best regards
