Hi folks anyone fitted 28mm keihin to 31k airbox? Did you manage to use the stock airbox rubbers or did you use an alternative?
Thanks

Warm them up in some hot water first, makes it a bit easier to stretch them over. Jess

Also use good clamps on the carbs and leave the rubbers on when servicing the carbs at a later date, to avoid this agro again.
Some use a beer bottle to stretch the rubbers after hot water.

If you soak them in a solution of IPA and Wintergreen oil, they will go soft over a few days and actually grow in size. Just check them each day until they fit, then clamp them on and leave them to dry out. As they dry out they will return to their original size but will still be nice and supple. They will smell nice too.

I warm them in hot water, spray some gt85 silicone spray and use a lolly stick sanded to a soft edge, but still challenging.
