Hmm. I was expecting a comparison, not a Langen article. I still think it looks awful and for 30K I know what I'd be riding and it ain't that thing. Maybe I'm a bit biased but how is it worth THAT much?

Enjoyed that read thanks Dusty. I'd love to ride one, but wouldn't pay the £33k for it. I wonder if they will hold value?

An LC was, for arguments sake, a grand back in 81. Now worth 10x that. Will that bike be worth 300K??

I saw a Langen at the TT June 2022 as it parked up in the Paddock outside next race team to us. I got chatting to the guy riding it and turns out he owns Langen Motorcycles. So had a good look at it and have to say I am not a fan of this bike but thats just me. Also pointed out that the piggy-back reserviour on the shocker was hitting the Carbon seat unit & marking it ! But I did take a few photos. So reading the article above (Dated Decenber 2022) The seat unit has now been trimmed back to avoid contact with shocker. However I was drawn to the registration plate. Hmmm, That looks similar to the one in the Paddock at the TT So had a look through my photo folder, However the bike at TT in June had a bronze/gold coloured frame here is bike at TT June Unfortunatley this isnt a very good screenshot from the video but it looks similar registration to the bike in the article above So either someone had been very busy after the TT by stripping the bike to paint the frame and swingarm silver, plus a few other parts changed, or someone has been a bit........... As for the price of this bike I would want it to run slightly better than in this video. it wasnt a very good advert for the Bike. XVIW8000 by Johnny Corrin, on Flickr Best regards

I suspect I’m not the only one who’d rather have a trick RG500 for that money.

Has someone just swapped number plates on that thing? Bit naughty.

I reckon its a simple number plate swap, if (and its very much an 'if') they wanted to be fully legal I'd say that they make the frames so could easily stamp them any number they like, but i bet its a different number... its just a newer version so better for the marketing etc. Wow, that ran horribly. In Aus there is/was a place selling KTM engined bikes of the Langen ilk, also silly money... saltmotorcycles.com.au/A guy on the 2strokesdownunder forum bought one and was apparently very happy with it.

I've never liked the look of the Langen, I just can't work out what it's meant to be, the cafe racer styling and two stroke ring-a-ding seems an odd combination. If it were a one off home build then all kudos to the guy who put it together, but as a "production" bike, it just doesn't cut it for me. Oh, and £33,000? Earlier this year I got the chance to have a go on a mates 2022 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory, hands down the most incredible bike I've ever ridden, and I reckoned that was pricy at ten grand less than the Langen.......

That Aprilia V4 is probably the best four stroke out there for sound and character. What a motor!
