Hi, Well where do I start, I had engine rebuilt a couple of years, I was on the understanding it was totally rebuilt it looked good cases vapour blasted etc.. It always had a knocking noise, they had it back and gave me the some bulls##t and it was fixed. Anyway its not, give up asking them to look at, I'll do it myself. I recently bought a clear powervalve cover and as I installed it I noticed the PV cables were loose. On moving these when the engine was runnuing the knocking went away. So I suspect that the PV is hitting the rings which is not good. Quick question I adjusted the powervalve as the manual, turned on the ignition servo worked went through it cycle, so started it up and the vavles moved 10mm ish to the right is this normal as this is the position it knocks. I'm pretty sure the top end just had a lick of paint and put back together may be diferent PV's not matched to the bore size. I'm pi##ed off with them for doing this and why they could not figure this out for themselves, they are very well known for building engines and specials. I guess the the moral of the story is do it yourself. Any advice is welcome, Many thanks, Jessy

If the valves are hitting the rings and it does hapen you must be on a bog bore like 2mm or somethinmg its simple to fix. well i say simple you ned to remove the top end and grined back the valves a little thats all . I dont think it will have made any big trouble for you . But i would still remove the pipes and have a look up the port .
