I am looking at getting a newer Street Triple as my mate is interested in my 2018 Street Triple 765 RS. Looking at a 2022 model.
Has anyone tried the newer one?

I have had a go on one but that was ages ago and can't remember what year the bike was. I loved it though.

Mate has the latest Rob he has owned only 675-765 for past 10’years and absolutely loves it. I rode it and you do not need anything bigger or faster. His is the golden orange one. The only thing he is pissed about is the exhaust you can’t just fit a can anymore you’ve got to replace the system. Oh and all his aftermarket stuff from his 2020 doesn’t fit due to subtle changes eg screen, under guard etc. Honestly they are mega, another mate zx10, and h2 owner is ‘down grading’ to one as the performance is accessible.

Does your mate have any of his 2020 aftermarket parts still, as they should fit the 2022 one?

They swapped what they could but lots of little tweaks 10mm here and there suddenly your parts don’t fit, the screen for instance the mounts have been moved slightly. Anyways bar that he loves it, it’s his fifth 675-765 Thinking about it, it may be a 23 model it’s an Rs in a golden colour.

The new one is the one at the back. 2022 model. Only done 107 miles from new. Does not allow full power until 1000 miles...

I had a new Daytona 675R in 2014 and that was one hell of a bike. I've never ridden the 765RS but can imagine it's a cracking road bike & also makes a pretty cool race bike too..

The 23/24 models looks good. Only bad thing is they have reduced the fuel tank capacity by 2 litres compared to the 20-22 model. I usually do a 200+ mile run on my 765, so bigger range is a benefit for me.

Also can’t fit a can on the 23/24 it’s a full system or so says my mate, and as previously they’ve altered loads of little bits which mean previously fitted aftermarket stuff no longer fits. He still loves it though.

I've had my 675R 2014 model for a few years now, really enjoy the bike, but time for an upgrade. I won't buy new (Yorkshireman!) but fancy the newer model, so interested in how you get on with the 765's.

The earlier headers fit the 23/24 model, then you can fit a slip on can on. Untitled by Keith Tiplady, on Flickr
