I really liked those, but thought he might struggle to find enough people willing to pay to make a commercial success.

A quick search reveals Peregrine was wound up as a company in 2019, having completed only a couple of machines. Really sad as ‘Niche’ companies seem to now do well, even in tough financial times

The looks were certainly devisive. I love the idea - and lets face it, plenty of guys here build bikes along the same idea. It's always going to be very difficult to build a Cafe Racer style bike for the road that looks great and is comfortable enough to actually want to ride. The style and mentality of them would appeal to people of a certain age (us lot) and that creates more of an issue in a way. As for cost - yea it sounds a lot, but there are some spendy parts involved when you look at the spec - I bet he wouldn't have made loads of money on each one sold. Nice try though. Dusty

Being self employed I know how hard it is for a business to thrive, I’m in demand and it isn’t easy, so to design and develop a new product unknown to the market place and to have the vision and determination coupled with the passion and tying yourself into the financial chain of it all. That takes balls or stupidity or a bit of both. Was it up my street not really, would I spend a similar amount building my own? I did. So absolute kudos and admiration to him, maybe wrong time wrong place. However at least he tried. 👍
