So I am in the market for an LC. In 1981 I ordered a bounty colour 250LC for my 17th Birthday (on HP) but when the shop took delivery they were all the red stripe. Then afterwards the lovely mars bar came out.
So being an old git I want another LC for nostalgia. Is it a red stripe as I had ? Or a Bounty that I wanted originally, or a mars bar with a set of chrome spannys that I always wanted but could never afford back in 81 ? It would have to be a "standard" paint job for the memories.

Once you get one you won't give a sh1t after you ride it π€£
I'd always thought I'd have a red/white if I owned one
I was later to the game so was stuck with the 125 limit but bought a ypvs after passed my test
Had an idea at 40 of building another like my original one. Bought a scrapper, found it too small and wobbly, found my original rolling chassis for sale, bought that and built a hybrid out of it
Started on a standard paint job, now on 4th scheme lol
Now got an lc of my own to build as done 2 for others. Started out thinking I'd do white red like the embassy fags I smoked back in the day, then changed my mind to Mars, then finally bit the bullet and went non standard
No right or wrong answers, it's the bike that's important
The fact you can't make your mind up says they are all good π

No dilemma here, go for the fastest and best colour, white-blue bounty 2 striper. Don't listen to the others, they delusional.

I can think of worse dilemmas to have π€
I was in your position 3+ years ago and bought a Mars Bar 4L0 from an another forum member π More recently I got a 31K hybrid off another forum member that was built by a different forum member. π€
Good luck with your search, colour choice and big smiles π

Have >1 then you can have all the colours... or get multiple sets of bodywork and you can swap round.
FWIW In your OEM paint deliberations, youve missed the JDM colour schemes... and the last year only blue.

Easy. The colour you always wanted. Bounty. Same as my first ever LC and how my project will look.

Candy blue for me, what a beautiful colour when the light hits it.

If Iβm reading this correctly you currently donβt have an LC, and are unsure of the colour you want?
If so Iβd suggest finding the right bike in good condition is far more important than the colour. A paint job can and will probably need doing anyway?

This could be worth a look and will make the decision for you? It seems to have some running issues which the current owner can't resolve and maybe is why it's for sale but the 250's don't make such strong money as 350's. Be aware that the running issues it has can vary from simply the carbs needing sorting to a full engine strip and rebuild. Could be an easy and cheap fix or a money pit. If this one's right for you, you might get it bought for Β£4,000 or a smidge above. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325985295116N.B. Whatever you decide, be very aware there are a lot of scammers about in the World of the LC. You're safe here, everywhere else not so much, a particularly bad place for it is Facebook Marketplace!
