Some test riding on the new GS1300 and the soon to be outgoing GSA1250 made me realise just how good the old bike is.
New GS13 is smaller, lighter, more powerful, more tech laden although doesn't feel as much of a complete bike to me and giving some on local back roads didn't see the new bike pull away.

Mate of mine has an older 1200GS and it’s a cracking bike, so much so that in 2018 I was spuds deep into trading in my S1000R for a 1250GS Rally. Strangely, the 1250 made my right forearm go numb (had this before on a 1200 Tenere) so I didn’t proceed. They tried moving the bars around a bit, but it didn’t resolve it so I didn’t get one (the standard and adventure 1250’s were the same) I was looking at the GS1300 a couple of weeks ago and the riding position is more akin to my Tracer 9 so I will have a test ride on one in the spring….

Have you tried Grip Puppies? In a word, no? I have always assumed that its the height of the bars that does it? Do they work??

I will order a set - give them a try - thanks FYI heated grips work fine through them too. Take a minute or so to get the heat through, but then fine..
