A mate of mine used to race one here in Aus. Went pretty well really.

I absolutely slated a mate for buying one back in the day
It was actually quite pleasant to ride (I never told him that)

There's a lad in Holland who is building a flat tracker with one of those engines. The engine is rotated another 90 degrees in the frame to make it like front to back V configuration.

My brother was a London courier, and had one around 4 years, 95mph flat out, but super comfy to ride, I know as I rode it a few times myself, super reliable and no chain maintenance, no maintenance at all as far as I remember, it just kept going, and it looked just like the one in the picture except blue.

Same here Tony - my brother bought one new - Y reg, and couriered around London on it. Went on the back a couple of times and it was really smooth. He did have the cam chain sorted under warranty, but apart from that it was faultless whilst he had it. They are a very popular donor for the Cafe Racer crowd, and some of them look pretty good (ahem!)

I may have said before but I can’t remember. I had 6 in a row and put over a 100k on all of them. My last one did 247k. The engines just went on forever but the chassis and levers etc just wore out eventually. Sometimes I get rose tinted specs and think about getting another one. But my garage is full as it is for now.

Very impressive mileages there they were known for being capable of high mileage this one only has 16k on the clock which I believe to be correct as it still had original bridgestone tyre on the front which was very perished though

I assume you'll be adhering to the courier code by leaving the tyre on until it gets so bald you can see the canvas beneath it.

Tony here you go, it was the cx engine turned on its side and bored and stroked to 750 and known as the ns750 americanmotorcyclist.com/classic-bikes/1982-honda-ns750/

I liked these back in day, I was too young to ride one. But thought about getting one a few years ago. The prices were excellent. Everyone appears to make them into cafe racers.

Yes was going to cafe race this myself but just put it back to standard, as run around and for commuting to work it is brilliant it has it's own character and you forget it's 45 years old

My mate Scott has one, he bought it 2nd hand at about 6 months old, buggered off to Europe on it and didn't come home for 10 years. It never let him down, covered over 100,000 miles just with routine servicing. He still has it to this day.
