Has anyone fitted a Dyna coil to an LC2? If so, are you able to share how best to do this, please?
I originally had replaced the standard (40 year old) coil with a pair of Banshee (type) coils. However, I've replaced these with a single Dyna coil. But, I can't seem to decide on how best to mount the Dyna coil where the original fits. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium for the low tension and high tension leads to fit correctly. I have the standard 'electronics' tray, with the reg/rec on the underside, the flasher self cancel unit towards the headstock, a PC10VT in place of the standard CDI, and the flasher relay in it's usual place. If I use the upper threaded mount, the rear fouls on the plastic electronics tray. Should I knock up some 90 degree brackets and mount it with the HT leads downwards? Any pointers gratefully received....

Did you need to cut the plastic reg/rec tray?
Would be interested in a picture if you're able.

FYI Economy Cycle sells a mounting kit for this. Thanks Jon. That's very interesting too. Hadn't thought of raising the Reg/Rec tray!

Should be able to make my own 'kit' up using that list/picture.

So, just to close this off. I've bought: 2 x 9.5mm stainless spacers 2 x 19mm stainless spacers A new 2 way 6.3mm connector (from Kojacat) The Economy Cycle kit only has a spacer under one (rearmost) end of the coil, which I tried, but was concerned about the extra strain on the coil mounts, so I bought a second 9.5mm spacer for the front end. New bolts to suit. All in, I think it's cost me about £18.
