Had a few days away on the mighty GS.
These bikes are incredible as trundling up the motorway, filtering for miles, town riding, on and off ferries in the pouring rain & thrashing about Scotland's finest windy tarmac strips faster than any sports bike can manage & the GS does it all without so much as a head shake.
A few pics for your perusal as I get back on the Hybrid.

In the past i've worked a lot on the P&O ferries to Hull. After work i would always go up and wonder throught the car decks to see what cars or bikes were on the boat. I was always amazedat the amount of BMW GS's there were on each trip. The best i've seen parked up were two Penny Farthings.

When I've been away my bikes always seem to be the odd ones out: 350YPVS, 350LC/YPVS engine, GSXR1100H, R1 and last year even the VFR800 was swamped by a herd of BMW GS's. Not another VFR on the whole 3 week 3,000 mile trip.

By far the most popular bike you'll see nowadays is the GS & for good reason. I agree they are a bit of a thunder bus, but are also a really superb piece of engineering.
I prefer to ride the classics too & will take the EXUP to the Classic TT later this year... maybe the Hybrid if I'm feeling brave!
