I've mentioned this a few times but I have always wanted to build a replica of that iconic Z. There is a company in Japan called Whitehouse that used to make the kits, sadly they don't make them anymore. But after a bit of searching I have found this company in the States. www.airtech-streamlining.com/I have no idea how much the full kit would be plus shipping to the UK and taxes etc but I do intend to do this. Not right now but probably this year sometime. Just need to find a suitable bike really. Bet that ain't going to be cheap! Alex

Air tech are a well known brand, there is a price list usually at the bottom of the page. There products are supposedly good but I think their after sales is slightly dicey. You’d need to check stock as I believe ( could be wrong) that once something is out they wait a fair while before re laying the fibre. Go for a z1000 late model or maybe even a zephyr or a jap model z750? I’ll see you on the road scag!

See you on the road like we saw the Nightrider!
Thanks for the bike choice Tim as I am a bit unsure what model to get. Ideally this bike needs to look 100% accurate. Apart from a CB...

Pretty much spot on. I had a gander on eBay for a Z1000 and they aren't quite as expensive as I imagined. But it's getting the right one that counts.

Rory on the rzrd500 forum was working with airtech for RD stuff, might be worth talking to him?
Its probably moulded from one of the Japanese copy kits as they generally mould off something already done i think.

Thanks Dusty. Pity that build didn't say where he got the body kit from! Someone else here did also tell me about the quality of the Airtech parts and maybe getting them made over here. But that might be tricky as I assume one would need the correct moulds to do this.
I did see that Z on eBay too. Yep, a lotta bike for the dosh indeed. I won't be starting this until my LC is finished and only if I can be assured of getting good quality panels, and I'll need to speak to Airhead, sorry, Airtech about that. Z's seem plentiful enough though and I know that I need the best one I can afford, ie a mint engine and everything there and all working. One thing I am unsure of is the exhausts. No idea who made them at all!

Dave Marsden built the Goose bike in the link, and he is the main man at Z Power. Very well known in the big Zed world. Why not give him a call and ask ?

Been looking at gpz750’s had a unitrack one as my first proper big bike at 18. My lad is 18 if he came home on one I’d be horrified.
