Anyone sussed how to replace the shift claw torsion spring? As it’s available as a separate part, I have to assume it’s possible. … and yes, I know the shift shaft assembly is available as a whole, just working on a backup plan.

I haven't got an old shaft to hand, but I'm guessing it's rivetted on Jim, and the spring sits over the shaft of the rivet. The rivet is not listed on the fiche ! If that is the case, then you would have to drill the rivet head off, then find a new rivet of the correct dimensions, and the means to fit it. Unless there is another fastener that could work ? Never seen or heard of it being done - usually the shaft is replaced as a whole. Dusty
