Does anyone have any suggestions or contacts they have experience with who manufacture custom built radiators?

I got a near fit aftermarket Chinese radiator and cut off all the excess brackets and pipes then got a local welder to fit the new brackets and pipes. Cost just over £100 for a custom radiator :-)

Martin at Madbiker supplies UK made Gmx rads. Very nicely made. Had one on my orange hybrid and there is one on my Cafe bike.

What size are you looking for?

What size are you looking for? Probably a 17cm x 17cm would fit best, 25mm core, incorporated rad cap.

17cm square seems a bit small... indeed. It's all experimental work in progress, something will turn up.

How about a radiator from a mini bike or a pit bike?

I did wonder if a radiator from a YZ, or similar would work for you. They are a 2 piece radiator with a link pipes between them.

I did wonder if a radiator from a YZ, or similar would work for you. They are a 2 piece radiator with a link pipes between them. Went that way on the MT350 Mk1 and it's very effective but involved a lot of head scratching with plumbing it up. Got there in the end but of the whole build, it was the one thing that was the most difficult to get installed and plumbed up so I'm looking for an alternative route on Mk2.

I got into a messaging conversation on ebay over the last couple of days with one of the Chinese ally rad manufacturers as he had something that was close, but not quite what I needed. Long story short, but he's going to build me one from a current design but with a change to the width and moving the filler neck to the opposite side and the bottom hose outlet to a more suitable position. Was a great experience, just need to see what arrives now......

you have been very lucky to find a Chinese supplier who would work with you. I had lots of convos with them a good few years back and my request was simple 'exactly like this one but 10cm wider.' and they kept asking for a drawing. I could have done it, but i think they were just not wanting to play ball really. Let us know how you go

Let us know how you go Hi Jon, Yes, I was quite surprised with just how engaging he was, several messages went back and forth and in the end, he says he's going to make me a radiator to my drawing using one he already supplies as a basis for it but with a different width, rad cap on the other side and the bottom hose outlet moved. It will be interesting to see what turns up. If it doesn't ever happen, he created a special listing on ebay for me so I expect it will be covered by the ebay guarantee too? Time will tell......
