i am going to be rebuilding my clutch and i am fitting ebc clutch plates h/d clutch springs what type of oil should i use what is best its my mk1 rd125lc any help is much appreciated grunt

Use proper 2 stroke gear box oil, some other oils contain detergents etc which will contaminate the clutch plates and make the clutch slip

Yes proper 2-stroke gearbox oil (Motul Transoil for example) or just good old plain 10w/30 mineral oil. Absolutely nothing semi or fully synthetic. I was using std 10w/30 mineral oil in my 65hp tuned YPVS 350 with absolutely no problems and is what I've got in my 10w RD125LC now and the clutch is perfect

i had some clear i tried it looked wicked however as it wasnt proper rad hose i didnt want to chance it melting as about 3-4mm thick also mr robbo where did u get your rad hose clamps from the old style ones like on ur black 125lc special

i have all the original ones i had to fit jubly clips as the originals didnt work so now to give it the age look i wanted the same sort you have on ur black n white 125lc mk1

right lets see if i can get some new ones got to make an order for the tank rubber grommets and washer for when T.C has my tank finished its abit poorly under the paint fixable thou if i cant get them i will hunt elsewhere new just saves fuss of hunting ;D

norbo does them on the site shop assorted colours blue red etc, i have red on mine i think they look the dogs too. 36 quid eh? I'm REALLY tempted

I'm REALLY tempted Also the overflow pipe from rad to overflow tank beside it is black but for £7 or £8 more you can get the one for the 250/350lc from norbo this will do that as its plenty long enough and looks 100X better

got some motul transoil now from hein gericke and h/d clutch springs in ;D also have got the tank washer new and gaz the rd350lc rad hose clips are avalible still so ordered 6 of them thanks

have just been surfing the net and seen something about cutting the pipe down that inserts into the end of exhaust (baffel pipe) what does this do is it a good mod or bad grunt

yes thats the one ryt its definatly a bad mod to do ;D i will leave it be also garry do u pack the wadding in the exhaust or do you leave it empty ;D sounds sweet empty
