Can anyone help with the type of connectors I should use when wiring these clocks up? Also is this the correct way to wire them up? I'm thinking splicing the red, brown and black wire from the ignition switch using a tee connector (in pics). Joining the tacho and speedo Red,brown and black wires together somehow then into the ignition. I'm not using any other functions on the speedo will the rest of the wires be okay taped up? I'm thinking of running the tacho rpm signal wire to the yellow/green from the ignitech should this work? Cheers Rob 👍

Splice connectors are the work of the devil. Your heart always sinks when you buy a bike and see those used.

Totally agree Tony... I did an involuntary shudder when I saw the pic :/
Sorry Rob, I'll have to be one of the ones who suggests you find a real way to get this feed and beg you not to use that T connector...

If you are looking for an unreliable connection that will give you grief then spliced connectors are the way to go. Personally I would always cut, strip and solder with heat shrink to insulate the connection.

Avoid the splice type connectors and spend a little time soldering the wires properly and heat shrink afterwards, I use adhesive heat shrink that is glue lined, once heated it shrinks down and the glue melts providing a very good weather seal, it's something we use at work and it is out in all weathers and if done correctly is normally a fit and forget solution.
Wire the clocks as per the instructions, the Speedo connections = Red needs to have a permanent live for the clock memory, don't join it to anything else other than a permanent live. Brown wire needs to be connected to a switched live on the ignition side, ignition on = clocks switch on, Black to a good earth source, battery, engine or frame. Tacho/rev counter connections = Red needs to have a permanent live for the clock memory, don't join it to anything else other than a permanent live. Brown wire needs to be connected to a switched live on the ignition side, ignition on = clocks switch on, Black to a good earth source, battery, engine or frame. You can use the same connection points as per the speedo. For the Rev counter pulse I always use the +ive coil pulse lead as its easy to access and easy to splice into. I don't connect directly to anything such as the ignitech etc as I find it best to keep it as simple and accesible as possible. Unused wires that you have as spares should be terminated flush, individually heat shrunk and I then heat shring the whole bunch together to keep them tidy and out of harms way.

Thanks chaps I went and bought these superseal connectors they should do the trick.
So basically now I just need to solder 3 wires from the ignition switch black, red and brown put the female plug on and plug in. 🤞
Incase I want to use the extra function lights on the speedo I added another connector . To wire them lights up would I just solder wires from the existing clock bulb loom and connect to the new clock using that plug?
For the neutral light, indicators and high beam.
I don't know if it would be abit much having 2 sets on.
Cheers Rob

Note too anyone don't fit your connectors until you have fitted the clocks into the cases 🤦♂️ I had to take them off to thread the wiring through the bracket and the new cups. All sorted now 👍
