I've seen 1,2 and 3 go for 100 quid. I sold the first 3 for 60 a few years back. Dont know what they fetch now ? I have seen issue 1 sell for about £20 a couple of months ago. I have a vague memory that they did a reprint of the first few issues Steve

Well, me and my Valve are in edition 1.
Never bought the mag, and after the shabby way they treated those of us who supplied LCs for edition 1, I can only say they got what they deserved.
I'm sure Norbo will delete this post, like he did the others when I dared to criticise it in the past.

I was approached by Simon Hargreaves about featuring my orange Lc hybrid. I had sold it, literally, the week previously to a friend, so said I would sort something out. Spoke to my mate, who was happy to provide the bike for photo's and test ride, sent PS an email confirming, and then nothing ! And believe it or not, exactly the same thing happened with my 400 hybrid. I sent them a pic for the "Show us Yours" section of the finished bike. 4 months later they get in touch wanting to feature it - again, literally one week previous I had sold it, so again, contact the new owner - yes, he would love to see his new bike in the mag - I email to say it's a goer, then nothing!! What annoyed me more was that they would often ask for bikes for features via their Facebook page, as if they didn't have enough for features. The subscription problem really hacks me off. I never got any of the "freebies" they advertise if you take out a subscription, and it rarely turned up before it was out in the shops. Some issues never turned up at all I know that's nothing to do with the staffers, but still annoying none the less. In spite of all that, it was still the only mag I would get, and used to look forward to it every month. The feature bikes did change in recent times though, and when PB was deleted from the content, there was still an air of more modern bikes creeping in - my opinion of course It was a different mag under Jim Moore's stewardship. And when Yamark had his triple Lc featured, I spent the day with Mark, Jim and the photographer, and it was brilliant. Jim Moore is a top bloke - very professional and just a really nice fella. Mark was going through a really tough time, and Jim was just awesome. I shall miss it for sure Dusty

Postie has just been and still no magazine It's out in the shops today . Don't worry, it's on crappie paper and a lot of blowing smoke up their own ass from what little I looked at this morning I contacted them ages ago when someone told me they were coming up this way but a bike they were featuring had fallen through so they needed another. Never even acknowledged it I emailed them ti's mornin on the last subscription email they sent this morning telling them to stick it then deleted the direct debit Steve

I know the mag changed a bit over the years, but i will still miss it, after all there is nothing else out there that is similar.
I've just checked and i have all bar one issue, which will be remedied soon. I still like flicking through old issues, they don't date as all the bikes were old to start with!

Thinking about it, it was my valve powered LC, not the valve, Looey has it now. We were promised a portfolio of the professional pictures that they took. Got nowt. Not so much as a cup of tea on the day. We were there bloody hours, the "photographer" couldn't get his kit working. At Brooklands, middle of winter. Just used side of a shed as backdrop, could have been anywhere. I hassled them about the photo's, & got sent a few low res ones. Absolutely pointless.

When mine was bike of the month or whatever it was they promised £75 of vouchers or something to spend on bike bits guess what never got it. Received a follow up about doing a full feature on it just ignored it. Sad that it has gone but not surprised I was no longer a regular as I say for reasons posted previously.

And a direct email from Bertie Simmonds the editor congratulating me asking for my address to send it out. Don`t you think Psb were always starting projects, a few issues and you never saw them again, A 100mph Ar50,Someones son restoring an F1 saw that for 2 issues then never again. And something with a Cr500 engine, can`t remember what it was ?? Anyone ?

From what i can remember, the AR50 was finished and achieved it's goal, the CR500 was in a Mito frame, but they abandoned the project because vibration was so bad, it caused exhaust's to crack etc. and i think they sold it and someone else tried to finished it, don't remember the F1 though.
