Dusty Thats strange , last couple of times its been packed, struggled to park ( would normally walk but dodgy knee), also i thought the sellers prices had dropped a bit, not quite bargain prices but certainly not angry Bull prices either Mark

It's never as busy at it used to be, in my opinion. When Yamark and myself had a pitch back last summer there was loads of empty pitches. I was chatting to the fella I get my fasteners from and he said it had taken a down turn since Mortons had taken it over. This time of year could be good as it's rebuild/resto season, and if it's dry I would expect a decent turnout. Plus it's the first of the year there so peeps have shopping lists ! Mouse and myself are going anyway as it's local for us, just hope it doesn't snow !!!

Yep sunbury has gone down hill over the years , lived here most of my life, it really was a place where you didnt lock your doors, now CCTV and Alarms are the norm, i will give you a shout on the YPVS parts, its a long complex story involving frames, cases and me building/teaching my son and his mate what little i know about LCs/YPVSs, one bike is going to be a Mito YPVS and one an N1 or F1 standardish build.

Everywhere is the same Mark. Ashford isn't what is was sadly. Good mate of mine moved from Sunbury 2 years back and has vowed never to return, and he was born and raised there, and spent virtually 51 years in and around Sunbury. I'm Egham, born and raised, and I wouldn't choose to live there now either, and it used to be lovely Hey ho ! If you get stuck, let me know, and I can put you in touch

Yep Agreed mate, Dopey was born in Ashford but she wouldn't want to live there now, London is getting closer to us every day!! I will give you a shout or we may meet up on a Boxhill/Walton bridge ride out one day.

I went with Mouse. It was the worst I've seen it - loads of empty pitches. Time of year cant help. We did the "early bird" ticket so were in at 8am, and there was a layer of frost on parts that had been put out earlier - it was bl**dy cold first thing. Paul Beaumont was there with some Lc stuff, but he was the only one. I spent 4 quid on some stainless fasteners, and 4 quid on a roller towel roll for rag in the garage, and that was it. Kempton has been struggling for some time now. As I said previously, the fasteners guy I buy from blames Mortons, who have taken it over. He said it took him years to get a regular pitch there with the old firm that ran it - real "dead mans shoes" type situation. Now it's 2 thirds full. He comes down from Bradford on the Friday, and sleeps in the van overnight !! Dont know how he makes a decent living doing that !!

I met Paul, very nice guy, probably have some bits of him, his rep LC tanks look very good. Mark
