oh and the charging circuit of course, so depends which wire/fuse you choose for the charging circuit, normally its the switched live back from the ignition switch

main wiring is 1.5mm and the main battery wire is 2mm, generally I repair most with 1mm and its all fine, 1.5mm is pretty heavy TBH, the only thing that draws that amount of amps is the headlight and the horn, everything else is well inside of what a 1mm cable can handle HTH I usually use thin wall cable for that very reason. It is not only smaller diameter and lighter than the original PVC stuff used in our looms, it carries more current per size. For instance the old PVC style LC cable of 2mm^2 will handle 17.5 amps, whereas the thin wall 2mm^2 can carry 25 amps. Jon

And so the fun begins First prototype fuse holder back plate in print (just using for now some blue PLA as print process is much quicker) So we can do a test fit of the original lid and to allow Rob to do a test fit of his PCB ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230103/8d0338cae75825ed6ea4d336a321a10b.jpg) Final production one will be in black ABS once we know the model is correct. Best wishes Al

Not bad for a first prototype Got to change the width of one of the side clips as can see that the lid “clips” are different lengths but looks pretty good The rectangular block it to allow Rob to zip tie the lead tails as a “cable strain” (that replaces the metal clamp) so the PCB is not being stressed by the zip ties👍 Will do a slight tweak to the model for lip width but think we are there with the back plate design😎😎 then will post both the original and the tweaked design to Rob for board fitting👍 ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230103/1d30239691c2981f580126edf2bc3ea9.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230103/66f0fb01eca3be139e6d5f416228fc1e.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230103/c1f8cf1d1424d7d2c4c496549787f1a5.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230103/4239e67fe42e43f4855e5549fc1d9e83.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230103/a32d663200b34a3dedf4adbe92b3f1f8.jpg)

Looking good Rob!!
The original fuses werent too bad but the ones you get now are rubbish so blade type is better, may upset few people but better way forward

Great work, very much appreciated. Watching with great interest and already looking forward to the F2 version? Out of interest, in order to get the cover to fit, do you think low profile mini blades will be the way to go?

It was designed to use the low profile fuses to keep it shallow for easy lid fitment, but other blades will fit if you leave the lid off if you need to change one while you are out.

Version two now printed with the correct lid clip widths ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230104/14fdc62877f09a16a0041f14612d9381.jpg) Will now post off to Rob so he can do the final build when his bits from China arrive

Brill looking good, how long does the process take out of interest? Mark. Hi Mark The prototype prints are in PLA which is a doddle to print and only takes a couple of hours to make the prototype as it’s also very hollow But PLA is not a good material for long term used so the production ones will be in black ASA x (This is the same material that I used to print clock housings) And this material has been developed especially for outside use, and will have much more “fill” so they are a more “solid print” which will take I estimate about twice as long Best wishes Al

Looks great. Aren't 3d printers wonderful? I can't imagine how I lived without one now. Yes quite agree Could not be without my printers now and think that the stuff I have made and sold like the clock housing battery straps and seat tang units (plus other stuff) have more than paid for the initial investment ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230105/428c7df2c55546965c1c222596a694a5.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230105/56148de9528136d039d982f814f9c363.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230105/b826fe41e69e897fa79bd67fcad923bb.jpg) Plus the ability to prototype type stuff like my rear caliper hanger for the Tigcraft project saves expensive mistakes later ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230105/5866df39a8ffa5988c15ef887c952ed1.jpg) Best wishes Al

How do we register our interest for when these are ready for sale? Just drop me a PM. :-) I am making 10 to start with to make sure everything is all good. If all looks good, will probably make a bigger batch after that. The F2 Fusebox looks the same, but not sure what cable colours or fuse sizes they use.

My PCB's are now shipped out. I also received the 50 fuse holders and I collected the wiring yesterday.

For some reason I thought you’d gone for an initial production of 100 as you stated they were 86% done. I expect you’ll sell all 10 very quickly. Put me down for one. Jon
