Hello, I am pondering if the 4 threaded holes under the RGV top yoke is suitable for handlebar clamps? Seems easy to drill out through top. If not, what is the best solution for higher bars?

I drill the inner two 9mm then tap to M10, plenty of choice of bolt through risers on E-bay, you'll need spacers or tall risers to access the full movement of the pre-load adjusters. Andy.

Be great if you have a link for yours, Matt, they look the business Hex

Is one bolt really strong and safe enough to support the risers?🤔
I've got an R1 top yoke I'm converting and I'm definitely going to be using two bolts per riser!

2 x m10 is fine
Andy's billet yokes use 2
When you think about it a brake caliper is mounted with 2 x m10. Foot plates too

The 4 holes in the yoke are only 5mm, so I planned to open them to 6mm which still might not be enough? My Tuono 1000(with 320mm brakes) has 1xm10 per riser, and they are approx 80mm(handlebar centre) above yoke. Two bolts will probably have better force distribution(20mm between bolt centers) so I figured m6 will be enough, but might go for 2xm8 per clamp(2xm7 has roughly the same area as 1xm10) . If going too big much of the reinforced area around the holes will be lost, but 2xm8 might be a goodcompromise, although I dont know much about required shear strength and handlebar clamps. Will try and make something similar to the illustration(sorry not a sketchup-expert), have a friend with a mill
