Does anyone know if the YPVS piston 2GU can be used in a 1UA barrel. They don't appear to cross reference in the parts information but wondered if anyone has tried it.

I bloody hope so as I have 2 pairs for my next builds. 1 with 31k barrels and 1 with 1ua barrels
Piston measurements and fit are fine but no expander under the second ring and maybe slightly different inlet side windows but should be fine

Im sure the sizing will be fine. I do wonder what the differences are... I mean, if they were the same as the 31K/1UA then they would be those part numbers surely? Has to be some difference... maybe windows as Steve says.

Not sure of 1ua's, think I may have fitted them in the leftovers Someone did put a pic up recently Steve |

The 2GU piston is not a YPVS piston. As Steve says the difference in part numbers is because the 2GU piston doesn’t have an expander and so the groove is less deep. Jon |
